People take different approaches to feel better about themselves.
A very popular way is through fashion.
I am nowhere near as natty as, say, 10-year-old Kheris Rogers, who started her own fashion line “Flexin’ In My Complexion” after going through discrimination for her dark skin, but I feel good in pretty clothes, too.
When I was in high school and college, I even had a friend or a cousin shop for me when I needed new clothes. I’d tell them my size, they’d tell me to try things on and we’d go from there.
Maybe being natty isn’t what makes you feel better about yourself, but something has to and if you haven’t found what — explore! Find it! We all need something to make us feel better in dark times.
